The Haupt Racing Team (HRT) will compete at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring 2026 with a new and unusual partner. The team from Drees will field a Ford Mustang GT3 in the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) corporate design at the endurance classic as well as at selected races of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). The cooperation includes both the preparation races and the 24-hour race itself, which will take place from May 14 to 17, 2026, on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The Ford Mustang GT3 being used will feature a striking, polygonal camouflage design that is based on the visual identity of the Bundeswehr. The goal of the partnership is specifically to attract potential new recruits. Through its presence in the motorsport environment, the Bundeswehr aims to bring its career prospects and entry opportunities closer to a broad audience.
As part of the 24-hour race, the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) will also be represented on-site, informing visitors about career paths in various fields. These include, among others, technical, medical, logistical, and IT-related activities in both military and civilian sectors.
HRT Managing Director Ulrich Fritz sees a special connection between motorsport and the demands of other performance-oriented organizations in this collaboration. Aspects such as teamwork, technical precision, and resilience play a central role in both areas, particularly in a demanding endurance race like the 24-hour event on the Nürburgring's Nordschleife.
The German Armed Forces also see cooperation as an opportunity to present their professional offerings in a dynamic environment. The partnership was brokered by the agency SKH Sports.
With its striking vehicle design and new collaboration, the Haupt Racing Team will attract special attention not only on the track but also visually at the season highlight on the Nürburgring.
