This is Slickpix
Growing up next to the Avus racetrack in Berlin, I fell in love with racing at the tender age of eight, at a time when car racing was not yet a topic on German television and only got a few minutes of coverage at most.
In the 1970s, I was lucky enough to watch Formula 1 on the local TV station during my summer vacation in beautiful Styria. The memory of these images is as beautiful as ever. The fascination for the magic of racing cars would stay with me for the rest of my life. The rise and early death of the young Jochen Rindt was not only a shock for the nation, but also left a deep mark on me in particular. My first idol died in Monza. Stefan Bellof was to follow later.

Magical places
The 24 Hours of LeMans or the green hell of the Nürburgring have always been magical places for me. Classic race tracks like these give my life real meaning. Despite the loud and brutal roar of the engines, it gives me a deep sense of balance and inner peace. Experiencing moments like this is what motivates me to travel in all weathers to produce and publish these images. I believe that every motorsport enthusiast, but also every other viewer, can share these emotions when looking at the pictures shown here.
Only these words are able to describe my life motto perfectly:
„Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting!” (Michael Delany)
