Of course, we don't want to withhold a brief look back at the Le Mans Classic Legend from you. With the first edition of the Le Mans Classic Legend Two weeks ago, a new chapter in historic motorsport events began on the Circuit de la Sarthe. The new format is dedicated to racing cars built between 1976 and 2015 and will complement the traditional Le Mans Classic Heritage for older vehicles on an alternating annual basis in the future.
Even on Thursday, numerous visitors flocked to the paddock, where exhibitions, club presentations, and various entertainment offerings complemented the historic race cars. On Friday, motorsports took center stage: the starting positions for the various racing series were determined in qualifying, while prototypes, GT vehicles, and other historic race cars from several decades could be seen on the track.
Saturday marked the highlight of the event. Numerous races, demonstration laps by legendary Le Mans vehicles, and the new Legends of Le Mans series ensured a varied program. The action was complemented by parades, exhibitions, concerts, and other activities that underscored the festival character of the event. Further races and demonstration runs were also on the agenda on Sunday before the premiere weekend concluded.
With the new concept, the organizer aims to present the history of endurance racing annually: While the Le Mans Classic Legend vehicles of newer generations in the spotlight, the Le Mans Classic Heritage reserved for vehicles built up to and including 1975.
