In 1994, a new era of touring car racing began in Germany: with around 300 hp, four-wheel drive, and spectacular technology, the Audi 80 quattro and BMW 318i met for the first time in the new 2-liter Super Tourenwagen Cup. Right in the middle of it was Hans-Joachim „Strietzel“ Stuck, whose Nürburgring finale came to an unexpected end after just three laps.
