The top qualifying, which was driven for the first time on the variant, was dominated by the two Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 from the Abt-Racing team.

At team manager Martin Tomczyk's farewell race, it was Luca Engstler (#84) and Marco Mapelli (#130) who secured the front row of the grid.

Experienced Audi pro Christopher Haase finished in third place in the now aging Audi R8 LMS for Team Scherer PHX.

The AMG GT3 around four-time Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen was ultimately ranked in fourth place, making a rematch between Haase and Verstappen possible.
