Paris, [Insert Date] – Peugeot Sport has announced the driver lineups for its two hypercars in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 2026 announced. For the season opener on March 28, 2026, in Qatar, the team will once again field two Peugeot 9X8s, each driven by trios of internationally experienced drivers.
The Peugeot 9X8 with the starting number #93 become Nick Cassidy, Paul di Resta and Stoffel Vandoorne tax. Di Resta and Vandoorne have been part of Peugeot's WEC lineup for several years and bring extensive endurance racing experience. Cassidy completes the trio as a new addition to the manufacturer's WEC program for the 2026 season.
In the sister car with the start number #94 come Loïc Duval, Malthe Jakobsen and Théo Pourchaire deployment. Duval is among the most experienced drivers in the field and has already secured a World Championship title in endurance racing. In addition, like Paul di Resta, he has already completed 26 starts for Peugeot. Jakobsen has been a permanent member of the driver lineup since 2025, while Pourchaire will contest his first full season in the FIA WEC in 2026.
„Loïc Duval and Paul di Resta are central pillars of our program and will play a crucial role in the performance of both driver combinations,“ explains Olivier Jansonnie, Technical Director of Peugeot Sport. „The two trios are balanced and combine drivers with special strengths in different phases of the race – from the start to qualifying. This structure supports both our long-term development strategy and our competitiveness under changing racing conditions.“
Peugeot's WEC lineup is rounded out by Alex Quinn and Jean-Éric Vergne, who will be integrated into the program as test and development drivers in 2026.
