In addition to the current DTM events, a special look back at the history of the traditional touring car series awaits spectators at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. DTM Classic will present numerous historic racing cars on all three days of the event, which will take to the track in several demonstration laps.

The field of participants includes vehicles from more than four decades of DTM history. Legendary models from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Ford, Opel, and Audi are represented, among others – from the near-production touring cars of the 1980s to the powerful Class 1 racing cars of the 2000s.

Among the oldest vehicles is a 1986 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.3-16V, which was already used in the DTM in the 1987 season and has been preserved in its historic design to this day. Also represented are several examples of the Mercedes 190 E Evo II as well as various BMW M3 E30s, which were once fierce rivals on the racetrack.

Ford is also represented with several Sierra RS500 Cosworths. The turbo model made DTM history in the late 1980s and is still considered one of the most well-known cars in the series today. Opel is sending another crowd favorite into the race with the Omega Evo 500, which particularly shaped the image of the championship in the 1990s.

The era of the modern German Touring Car Masters is represented by original Audi TT-Rs from ABT Sportsline. Furthermore, Stefan Mücke will drive an original Mercedes-AMG C-Class DTM from the 2005 season – a vehicle that he already piloted during his active DTM career in Oschersleben.
