In the mid-1970s, the Norisring became the scene of thrilling DRM duels thanks to the Zakspeed Ford Escort. Hans Heyer chased the two-liter racing car, adorned with Castrol livery, around the tight street circuit, while a close race unfolded behind him and his teammate Klaus Ludwig.
