Auctions: Januar bis Mai 2017
Das Angebot an historischen Rennwagen auf dem Versteigerungsmarkt geht momentan deutlicher zurück, es hat den Anschein, als wäre erst einmal alles verteilt. Auch gab es in den letzten zwei Monaten nahezu keine sensationellen Ergebnisse. Wäre nicht eben bei Mecum Auctions in Indianapolis ein 96er Porsche 911 GT2 Evo mit 1.450.000 US-Dollar (umgerechnet ca. 1,29 Millionen Euro) unter den Hammer gekommen, hätte es in den zwei Monaten gar keine siebenstelligen Resultate gegeben. Die 728.000 Euro, die RM Sotheby’s in der Villa Erba für einen 59er W.R.E.-Maserati-Rennsportwagen erzielte, mögen ein gutes Ergebnis sein, hier fehlen aber die Vergleichswerte, ein solches Auto kommt so gut wie nie zur Versteigerung.
Hervorstechend waren hier die Resultate für einen 61er Jaguar E-Type-Series 1-Roadster mit zeitgenössischer Renngeschichte und auch die 252.000 Euro für einen 65er Alfa Romeo GTA. Die 80.500 Euro, die Bonhams beim Spa Classic für einen relativ seriennahen 71er Capri 2600 RS erreichte, wohl eine Competiton Lightweight-Version, erklären sich wesentlich daraus, dass dieser Wagen in der Historie auch einmal von Clay Regazzoni und Francois Mazet gelenkt wurde. Da es immer sehr lange dauert, bis Coys seine Ergebnisse veröffentlicht, enthält die Tabelle auch noch zwei Coys-Resultate von der Autosport-Auktion im Januar 2017.
