The Goodwood Revival also impressively demonstrated in 2026 why this prestigious event on the Goodwood Motor Circuit is one of the highlights of historic motorsport. From September 18 to 20, the grounds in West Sussex once again transformed into a fascinating journey through the history of motorsport.
On the historic track, legendary race cars from several decades provided spectacular races. This was not just a show: The historic vehicles were driven with impressive effort and delivered thrilling duels.
From a German perspective, there was also reason for celebration. Frank Stippler delivered a strong performance at the St. Mary’s Trophy with an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA. In the first race, the experienced German racer crossed the finish line in second place – behind the French Le Mans winner Romain Dumas.
The highly-attended RAC TT Celebration attracted additional international attention. Numerous motorsport greats took to the starting line, including Jenson Button, Jacques Villeneuve, Tom Kristensen and Jimmie Johnson.
But the Goodwood Revival is much more than historic race cars. The visitors, teams and drivers immersed themselves fully in the atmosphere of bygone decades, wearing contemporary attire and with numerous loving details. In 2026, Maserati and Italian motorsport history played a special role among them.
The Goodwood Revival thus remains a unique combination of historic motorsport, automotive culture and British tradition – and a must-attend event for everyone who wants to experience racing not just watching it.
