Iron Lynx will once again opt for the legendary Silver Arrows look at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2026. As in the previous year, three Mercedes-AMG LMGT3s will compete in the endurance classic on the Sarthe circuit in a special silver livery. With this, the team and Mercedes-AMG Motorsport are continuing the tradition-rich history of the Silver Arrows in international motorsport.

The 94th edition of the famous race will take place on June 13 and 14, 2026. Iron Lynx will field three cars, each distinguished by unique color accents on the rear. The Mercedes-AMG with start number #61 will feature a black rear design and will be driven by Martin Berry, Rui Andrade, and Mercedes-AMG Performance driver Maxime Martin. The #79 will feature yellow accents and will be driven by Johannes Zelger, Matteo Cressoni, and Mercedes-AMG junior driver Lin Hodenius.

Special attention is being paid to the third car, bearing the entry number #62. The additional Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 will compete under the „Team Qatar“ banner and feature the colors of the Qatari flag on its rear. For Qatar, the project marks an important milestone: for the first time, a car will officially compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans under the name Team Qatar.

At the wheel of the #62 are Qatari driver Abdulla Al Khelaifi, who has already made a name for himself with strong performances in the European Le Mans Series, his teammate Julian Hanses, and Giuliano Alesi, son of former Formula 1 driver Jean Alesi.

The special designs of the three vehicles were presented together with the official FIA WEC and Le Mans game „Le Mans Ultimate“. The liveries are also planned to be available in the game in the future.

Andrea Piccini, Team Principal and CEO of Iron Lynx, stated that it is a great pleasure to bring the Silver Arrows to Le Mans for the second consecutive year. He also expressed particular pride in giving each of the three vehicles its own unique identity. Furthermore, the team is delighted to be collaborating with Team Qatar on their Le Mans debut.

Stefan Wendl, Head of Customer Racing at Mercedes-AMG Motorsport, also emphasized the race's special significance in the brand's motorsport history. After last year's experience, Mercedes-AMG wants to confirm its sporting progress with a strong result.

For the President of the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation, Abdulrahman bin Abdullatif Al Mannai, the project is symbolic of Qatar's growing influence in international motorsport. Participation in Le Mans is not just a racing commitment, but part of a long-term strategy to promote talent and expand its own presence in global endurance racing.
