ADAC Nordrhein is restructuring its long-distance racing activities at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife starting with the 2027 season. With the introduction of the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Series A new championship format is being created that will enable teams and drivers to prepare specifically for the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, while also strengthening other traditional Nordschleife events.

The new series includes five events with a total of six races. In addition to the familiar 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers and the ADAC RAVENOL 24 Hours of Nürburgring will in the future already at the start of the season 24h Nürburgring Prolog held. This gives teams additional testing and preparation opportunities before the season highlight at the end of May.

The calendar is supplemented by two traditional events: the ADAC Eifel Race as well as the ADAC 1000 km Race, which are organized by DAMC 05 Veranstaltungs-GmbH. All races will take place on the well-known 24h race track variant, which combines the Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife, and will be held according to the technical regulations of the 24h Nürburgring.

Walter Hornung, Sports Director of ADAC Nordrhein, sees the new series as an important step: "We are responding to the desire of many teams for compact and focused preparation for the 24-hour race. At the same time, the successful organizational structure of the 24h Nürburgring can be applied to further events in the future.".

Benefits for Teams and Drivers

Registered participants benefit from several advantages. These include a reduced entry fee, guaranteed starting eligibility for the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, and planned prize money intended to support the financing of racing programs.

In addition, the organizers expect numerous teams to participate in both the new 24h Nürburgring Series and in German Historical Long-Distance Championship (DHLM) take part. Joint event weekends are intended to create logistical synergies and reduce the workload for the teams.

Extensive offer for fans

Fans are also set to benefit from the new racing series. All events will be accompanied by an extensive live stream, live timing, race ticker, and in-depth coverage on the official social media channels.

Special offers are also planned for visitors along the track. These include, among other things, a season ticket and special camping offers for the various events in the series.

  • 24h Nürburgring Prologue: April 2–3, 2027
  • 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers: April 30 – May 2, 2027
  • ADAC RAVENOL 24 Hours of Nürburgring: May 27-30, 2027
  • ADAC Eifel Race: July 30 – August 1, 2027
  • ADAC 1000 km Race: September 10–12, 2027

With the new ADAC 24h Nürburgring Series, endurance racing on the Nordschleife will receive a clearly structured platform starting in 2027, which combines modern GT race cars and traditional racing events, and is intended to offer teams optimal conditions for Germany's most prestigious endurance race.
