Team co-founder Benjamin Leuchter plays a central role, being closely involved in the tuning of sporty Volkswagen models as a development and test driver.

Volkswagen R deliberately references its own history: Since the debut of the Golf R32 in 2002, the „R“ has stood for particularly powerful models with a close connection to motorsport.
