The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) presented the official race calendar for the 2027 season a few days ago. The endurance championship will expand from eight to nine race weekends and brings a traditional venue back to the calendar with the return of Silverstone.
The season opener will once again be the Prologue in Qatar, before the 1812 Kilometers of Qatar are held a few days later at the Lusail International Circuit. The championship will then move to Imola and Silverstone, before the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the dress rehearsal for the season highlight, follows.
The highlight of the season remains the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, held from June 9th to 13th, 2027. After the endurance classic, the field travels to São Paulo, Austin, Fuji, and the traditional season finale in Bahrain.
