Maintenance and Restoration of Historic Jaguar Models
Jaguar Heritage Parts, the division dedicated to the maintenance and restoration of historic models, now offers a complete and faithful-to-the-original set of body panels for the Jaguar E-Type Series 1, as well as selected parts for Series 2 and 3 of the legendary sports car. To ensure maximum quality, Jaguar technicians and engineers used state-of-the-art scanning technology to digitally measure every inch of the E-Type body in 3D. They then converted the highly detailed scans into CAD images. Based on the virtual representation of the entire body, they ensured precise fit and accuracy of the individual parts. The dimensions and shapes of the inner and outer surfaces were calculated down to a fraction of a millimeter. Once the entire car has been digitally captured, Jaguar Heritage can test the quality and dimensional accuracy of each panel, as well as the tooling originally used to manufacture it. Each part is checked again for its final fit on an E-Type body before receiving production approval. The unveiling of the faithful-to-the-original E-Type body panels follows the introduction of three exhaust kits. These, too, were developed at Jaguar Heritage according to the original production patterns and specifications—and therefore deliver the same unmistakable sound. In addition, Jaguar Land Rover Heritage now offers seven special „Classic“ oils—lubricants that, due to their consistency, are better suited for classic cars built before 1980 than modern engine oils. German E-Type owners, as well as owners of many other classic Jaguars, can order parts from 24 specialized Jaguar Land Rover Heritage dealers throughout Germany.
