Preining and Feller in the Porsche cockpit

Porsche Team Manthey has announced its driver line-up for the 2026 DTM season and, as the reigning champions, will line up with a smaller squad. Instead of fielding three cars as before, the team from Meuspath at the Nürburgring will only run two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs with the current Evo package in the coming season.

Austrian Thomas Preining, who has been driving for Manthey for three years and won the DTM title for Porsche in 2023, will remain at the wheel of the number 91 car. New to the team is Swiss driver Ricardo Feller, who will drive the number 90 car in future. He will take the place of former Manthey driver Ayhancan Güven.

Güven, who has competed for Manthey in the DTM for the past two years, will focus more on other programs in the future. One of his goals is to prepare for a possible stint in Porsche’s Formula E works program, for which he still needs to collect the necessary license points. He will collect these points in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), where he will continue to compete for Manthey in the LMGT3 category. Morris Schuring, previously part of the DTM program, will also no longer compete in the series in 2026 and will devote himself to other tasks.

The car designs for the new season have not yet been unveiled. Manthey had an extremely successful season in 2025, winning the drivers’ title as well as the team and rookie standings.

Looking back on the past season, team boss Nicolas Raeder emphasized that the team is proud of its achievements and is motivated to defend its title. At the same time, the team was confident that it would be able to build on its previous successes with the new driver pairing.

For Ricardo Feller, the switch to Manthey represents an important step in his career. The Swiss driver can already look back on several victories and podium finishes in the DTM and also gained his first experience with Manthey at an endurance race in Daytona. He spoke positively about his new team and particularly emphasized its professionalism and track record.

Meanwhile, Thomas Preining is entering his fourth season with Manthey and believes the team is well positioned. The collaboration has improved continuously over the years and he is optimistic for the coming season, even if the outcome of a championship can never be guaranteed.

With the reduced but experienced line-up, Manthey wants to fight for top positions again in the 2026 DTM season.
