Porsche achieved an impressive result at the second round of the 2026 IMSA SportsCar Championship. The manufacturer from Stuttgart secured a commanding one-two victory at the tradition-steeped 12 Hours of Sebring.

The overall victory went to the driver trio of Julien Andlauer, Felipe Nasr and Laurin Heinrich in the Porsche 963. The same crew had already triumphed at the season opener, the 24 Hours of Daytona.

The second works car with Kévin Estre, Laurens Vanthoor and Matt Campbell followed in second place, completing the top two places for Porsche.

Dominant performance over the race distance

The race was controlled by Porsche for long stretches. The 963 led the majority of the 343 laps in total, confirming the team’s strong form. In the final phase, there was an internal duel: due to different strategies, the two works cars swapped positions for a short time before the eventual winning car took the lead again.

With its success at Sebring, Porsche celebrates its second prestigious victory of the season and builds on its strong performance from the previous year.

Cadillac completes the podium

Third place went to the Cadillac V-Series.R with Filipe Albuquerque, Will Stevens and Ricky Taylor.

They were followed by another Cadillac trio ahead of the Acura ARX-06 and the BMW M Hybrid V8, which completed the top six.

Class victories for Porsche, Ferrari and United Autosports

There were also exciting decisions in the other classes:

  • GTD Pro: Victory for the Porsche 911 GT3 R from Manthey
  • GTD: Success for the Ferrari 296 GT3
  • LMP2: Triumph for the Oreca 07 from United Autosports
