Eight events in three countries are on the schedule, with a total of 16 championship races being held. The start of the season and the finale will once again take place at the already established venues of the Red Bull Ring and the Hockenheimring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Red Bull Ring in Spielberg will kick things off from April 23 to 25, 2027. Following its successful debut as the season opener this year, Austria will thus remain the first venue for the title fight in 2027 as well. The first two championship rounds will once again bring the DTM field before the backdrop of the Styrian Alps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In early May, the trip goes to Germany for the first time. From May 7 to 9, the series will make a guest appearance at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. This will be followed by another German stop at the DEKRA Lausitzring from June 18 to 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A special highlight awaits in early July: From July 2 to 4, the Norisring will once again transform into the DTM stage. On the calendar's only street circuit, the GT3 cars will traditionally battle for important championship points on the tight Nuremberg track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next up is the season's second foreign guest appearance. From August 6 to 8, the DTM will make a stop at the Circuit Zandvoort. The Dutch track set in the dunes on the North Sea coast marks the start of a crucial phase of the championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just two weeks later, the series returns to Germany. The N\u00fcrburgring is on the schedule from August 20 to 22. After another longer break, the Sachsenring follows in late September. Races 13 and 14 of the season will be held there from September 24 to 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decision will finally take place from October 8 to 10 at the Hockenheimring Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg. A major change concerns the order of the events: Oschersleben moves to the second race weekend, while Zandvoort gets its place in the second half of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This means the DTM continues to rely on a mix of traditional German tracks and international guest events. In addition to the six German events, two races outside of Germany are on the schedule, with the Red Bull Ring and Zandvoort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The series also remains true to its existing format in terms of scope. Eight race weekends, each featuring two championship races, add up to a total of 16 races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">All races on free-to-air television again<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Motorsports fans will be able to watch all DTM races on free-to-air television in 2027 as well. ProSieben remains on board as the TV partner and will broadcast the championship races live. This continues the partnership between the DTM and the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, which has been in place for several years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ticket sales for the 2027 season are scheduled to start on October 11, 2026 \u2013 the day of the 2026 DTM season finale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the unchanged scope of the calendar, the organizer is initially relying on continuity. At the same time, the internationalization of the series remains a topic for the future. An additional foreign round had recently been discussed repeatedly, but has so far failed due, among other things, to the additional financial burdens for the teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For 2027, the tried-and-true format will therefore remain in place for now: eight race weekends, 16 races, three countries, and a season that stretches from spring in Spielberg to the grand finale in October at Hockenheim.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2027, the DTM is relying on proven venues while simultaneously shifting the dramaturgy of its season.
