<\/figure>\n\n\n\nUnlike many GT3 vehicles that are based on existing road models, the Magma GT3 Concept was developed as a standalone study. Genesis is thus emulating manufacturers that specifically design their GT3 race cars for motorsport. The study complies with the FIA's technical GT3 regulations and pursues an uncompromising performance approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Optically and technically, the concept relies on numerous features specifically designed for racing. These include widened track widths, a distinctive front splitter, enlarged air ducts, and a fin integrated into the door area, intended to improve both aerodynamics and cooling. The package is complemented by a sophisticated thermal management system and a motorsport-oriented rear end with a fixed rear wing and diffuser, specifically designed for the demands of endurance racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The study was developed together with Hyundai Motorsport. However, according to the manufacturer, the project is still in an early exploratory phase. The architecture, technical components, and possible development steps have not yet been finalized. Rather, the concept shows one of several conceivable directions for the brand's future development in motorsport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Genesis Team Principal Cyril Abiteboul described the GT3 category as one of motorsport's current success stories and emphasized that involvement would further strengthen the connection between the brand's road cars and racing activities. At the same time, he stressed that Genesis Magma Racing is intended as a long-term project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From a design perspective as well, Genesis sees a close connection between the brand's performance road vehicles and its race cars. The already known Magma GT Concept for the road and the newly unveiled Magma GT3 Concept are intended to jointly demonstrate how motorsport can serve as a development platform and source of inspiration for high-performance vehicles in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It remains unclear whether and when a homologated GT3 race car will actually emerge from the study. Industry observers expect a possible race debut at the earliest in 2028 or 2029.
