The motorsport world bids farewell to Andreas Schall from Dornstadt, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For many decades, Schall shaped endurance racing on the N\u00fcrburgring Nordschleife. The entrepreneur from the Swabian Jura, who ran his own Mercedes-Benz dealership, was primarily known for his involvement with the Mercedes 190 Evo, which he piloted for many years together with his son. However, he also left a lasting impression on fans and companions with vehicles like the Ford Escort MK II and later in the Opel Astra DTM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In approximately 50 active years in motorsports, Andreas Schall achieved impressive successes, including five overall victories and 98 class victories on the Nordschleife. Particularly formative was the 27-year joint racing career with his son Ralf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He recently retired from active racing and followed events in a quieter role. However, his passion for motorsport lived on in the family: while his son remains closely involved in the scene, his grandchildren Janina at the N\u00fcrburgring and Matteo in karting are also gaining their first experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Andreas Schall will be remembered as a dedicated motorsports enthusiast and a formative personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
