The new race car is based on the GR GT and was developed with the motto \u201eDriver-First,\u201c with drivers' needs at the forefront from the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the leadership of TMC President Akio Toyoda (aka racing driver Morizo), professional drivers, gentleman drivers, and in-house test drivers were involved in the development along with engineers. The goal was to create a race car that is easy to drive for both professional teams and amateur drivers, while also meeting the highest performance requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The GR GT3 is characterized by a low center of gravity, low weight with high rigidity, and aerodynamic efficiency. It meets the FIA GT3 specifications for customer racing cars. TGR also uses extensive testing \u2013 on driving simulators, test tracks worldwide, and public roads \u2013 to ensure performance, durability, and everyday usability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The market launch of the GR GT3 is planned for 2027.
